Tom Maher

Tom specializes in advising investors and early-stage companies and their founders on a wide variety of corporate and business matters, ranging from corporate formations and venture capital financings to strategic transactions and ongoing corporate governance.

Prior to Presidio Legal, Tom was a senior associate in Goodwin’s Santa Monica office and began his legal career in Cooley’s Palo Alto office. Tom attended Cornell University, double-majoring in English and Psychology, and graduated from Yale Law School. Before law school, Tom taught English in Kishiwada, Japan.

When he’s not practicing law, Tom is an avid game developer and founded a video game development studio. He designed, programmed and directed Gestalt: Steam & Cinder, a retro action/adventure game selling tens of thousands of copies on Steam. Tom’s also a proud corgi dad to Evie and Huckleberry, and yes, *of course* they’re in the game.
