Kate Scherschel

Kate Scherschel is a partner and co-head of the firm’s commercial practice. Prior to Presidio, she practiced corporate law in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices of Sullivan & Cromwell and Covington & Burling, and is a graduate of Stanford Law School.

In addition to assisting with commercial and IP aspects of corporate deals, Kate serves as outside general counsel or primary commercial counsel to clients in the technology, life sciences, fintech, AI, outdoor recreation, and consumer packaged goods spaces.

Kate understands the commercial needs of growing companies, and enjoys working with founders and heads of sales to grow processes and forms in alignment with a startup’s stage.  

Outside of the office, Kate enjoys traveling, outdoor recreation, and playing and writing original music.
