Ahsan Sadiq

Ahsan regularly works with AI, SaaS, robotics, fintech and other technology companies on master services agreements, enterprise customer and vendor agreements, SaaS and on-premise software licenses, data processing and privacy terms, reseller, channel and OEM arrangements, joint development agreements, beta and pilot programs, and cross-border supply and distribution relationships. He also helps emerging companies build scalable contracting infrastructure, including customer and vendor forms, order forms and contracting playbooks, and frequently represents companies negotiating against the forms of large enterprise customers, technology vendors and strategic partners.

A significant part of Ahsan’s practice involves the commercial and intellectual property issues raised by AI and other emerging technologies, including training and data rights, model outputs, IP ownership, confidentiality and privacy, indemnification, limitation of liability, subprocessors, and the allocation of risk for AI-enabled and autonomous products. His approach is practical and business-oriented, with an emphasis on getting transactions closed while preserving the positions that matter as a company scales.

Ahsan also advises investors and acquirers on intellectual property and commercial diligence and technology-related issues in venture financings and M&A. His experience spans AI, SaaS, fintech, robotics, gaming, medical devices and services, automotive, blockchain, outsourcing, telecommunications and consumer technology.

Ahsan is qualified to practice in California and Ontario, Canada. Before joining Presidio, he practiced at leading international and North American law firms in Palo Alto and Ontario, representing global technology companies. Earlier in his career, he worked in business development in the wireless telecommunications industry, an experience that continues to inform his practical approach to commercial negotiations.
